Today, we are thrilled to announce the latest release of ERA: Introducing version 1.9.0, featuring various improvements and bug fixes aimed at enhancing the usability of our note-taking tool ERA. After taking user feedback into account, we made several small changes that will make the user experience much more pleasant.
TL;DR
We have released version 1.9.0 of ERA, featuring bug fixes and new improvements aimed at enhancing usability. One bug fixed relates to list numbering, while another bug fixed was with the draft search function. A new feature added to the latest version is saving the window size of ERA. We are committed to improve ERA step by step and value your feedback. The next update is planned for release in September.
Bug Fix
With version 1.9.0 we want to fix some bugs that we or our users noticed lately.
Listing Bug
One of the most significant issues we addressed in this update is a bug that was impacting list numbering. A user reported to us that numbering in lists was not functioning as expected, and instead of numbers, ERA displayed bullet points. After investigating the issue, we were able to resolve this bug, and it also affects retroactively all drafts that contain numbered lists.
Search Shortcut Bug
Another bug that we fixed is related to the draft search function. A user reported that the search function (Shortcut: CTRL + F) was not working correctly while editing a draft. We looked into this matter and discovered that the search function did not work when the user was in the edit mode. However, we resolved the problem, and now you can search for other drafts using the shortcut while editing a draft.
New Features
With version 1.9.0 of our note-taking tool ERA, we also aim to implement improvements and new features.
Saved Window Size
ERA will now remember your window size preferences so that each time you open the application, it will display in the same size as before. If you change the window size of ERA, the value will be stored in your local database. Previously, if the user changed the window size of ERA and then restarted the application, the window size would not be restored, so we believe this feature will be beneficial to our users.
Conclusion
We recognize the importance of continuously improving our tool and taking user feedback seriously. We are already working on the next update, which will be released in September, and you can find more information about it in our weekly reports, which will be published soon.
In summary, we believe that these changes will make ERA more user-friendly and reliable. We value you opinion, and we are dedicated to providing an exceptional user experience. If you have any feedback or suggestions, we encourage you to let us know, and we will take them into account as we continue to improve ERA. With your help, we can create the best note-taking experience for all our users.
